Dr. Plas presented the 2025-26 budget projections and the proposed levy to the Board of Education at Monday’s Budget Hearing. Bennington is planning to keep the levy the same as the last two years, which was the lowest the levy has been in 12 years!
Residents will be receiving a green postcard in the mail from Douglas County in the next day or two for the Joint Public Budget Hearing. BPS is participating in the joint hearing because the budget exceeds two percent or more in growth rate excluding bonds. Visit the BPS website for more information. https://bit.ly/BPSFinancialInfo

Work on the new tennis courts at Bennington High School is moving forward! The concrete pad was poured last week and will need about 30 days to cure before the playing surface can be installed. These courts, part of the recent bond issue, will be joined by three additional courts at the future second high school. The BHS courts are on track to be ready for the girls tennis team to use this spring.
