  • Hexter: A six week grading period - Six each year
  • Required Practice = HOMEWORK
  • Formative Assessments: Worth 40% of students’ overall grade - these can be learning checks, bellwork, exit tickets, etc.
  • Summative Assessment: Worth 60% of students’ overall grade - these can be unit tests, projects, labs, essays, etc.

What is DUE when?
Our online agenda (homework calendar) outlines all of the required practice as well asformative and summative assessments forthe week. This is a great resource to helpyour student stay organized.

How can I see my student’s GRADES?
Nebsis Family is the system that Bennington usesto display grades. The link is located on theschool’s main webpage. Every Monday you willreceive a STUDENT SUCCESS EMAIL if yourstudent has any missing work.

Tech Talk Breakdown

  • Clever: A “HUB” for all student technologyresources which can be accessed on studentchromebooks.
  • Google Classroom: Used for teachers to shareinstructional materials with students; NOT intended for viewing missing assignments orfor checking grades.
  • Various Resources used for Required Practice: IXL, Quill, Quizizz, Kahoot!, GimkitWe

Need Additional Help?
We have Study Centers Monday through Thursday until 4:00pm in the library forhomework support. There is always ateacher available to help answer questionsand offer support!
